This programme takes a multidisciplinary approach to the complex interrelationship of politics and economics in the modern globalized world with a focus on the Eurasia region. Students gain a deep understanding of the political, economic, and social processes at play in post-Soviet Eurasia.

Three special double-degree tracks are offered in Politics and Security, Politics and International Economy, and Nation, History, and Society. Students spend the first year of study at a UK partner university and the second year at HSE in Moscow.

Lectures delivered by a team of experienced international faculty members, as well as experts from the public and private sectors, strengthen students’ theoretical knowledge and develop their applied skills. Graduates work in the public, private, and non-profit sectors as analysts, researchers, and future decision-makers in the Eurasia region.

Career opportunities

Programme graduates go on into leadership positions at distinguished private and public sector organizations (including the IMF, EBRD, Risk Control, banks and financial institutions, diplomacy, media, and civil service) or continue their studies at the doctoral level.
