The area of professional activity of graduates includes acquisition, study and application of various biological objects, modified natural and artificial organisms (from viruses and unicellular to multicellular organisms), as well as biological macromolecules; processing and subsequent analysis of a large body of information on biological objects; development of molecular diagnostics and selection of new targets for drugs; training professionals in bioengineering, bioinformatics and related disciplines in educational institutions.

The objects of professional activity of graduates are the following: a variety of biological objects, including modified natural and artificial (organisms from viruses and single-celled to multicellular, biomacromolecules, genetic engineering objects); database describing the structure and properties of biological objects (genomes, proteins, nucleic acids, bioorganic compounds and their interactions).
