The aim of the program is to train highly skilled technologists, microbiologists and plant physiologists with deep knowledge in the field of natural science, familiar with the methodology of scientific work; able to use the methods of acquisition, processing, analysis and storage of scientific data; ready for research, teaching, design and production work.

The main research areas are:

  • light and hormonal regulation of plant morphogenesis;
  • biotechnology and phytochemistry of medicinal and agricultural plants;
  • industrial biotechnology and biotechnologically relevant microorganisms;
  • deep extremophiles and the biosphere;
  • the genetic engineering of plants and fungi;
  • transcriptome and genomic analysis.

Admission

Admission to the program is carried out on a competitive basis following the results of admission tests: an entrance examination and an interview.
