The Master Program "Ecology and Environmental Management" is focused on scientific and applied activities. The purpose of the program is to train highly qualified experts in the field of administrative activities, who are able to take environmentally significant management decisions, to ensure the rational use of natural resources, ecological safety of the population and the long-term sustainable development of the region and the state as a whole.

Specific areas of activities are: nature conservation and environmental management (federal and regional agencies of the Ministry of Natural Resources, State Committee on Ecology, Ministry of Emergency Situations); design, industrial and research laboratories; economic and legal organizations, centers dealing with environmental problems; work at international organizations in the field of environmental protection.

Most subjects in the curriculum are focused on practical activities. Such disciplines as "Ecological Design", "The use of geo-information technologies", "Engineering and environmental surveys", "Environmental audit" allow future masters find their future employment at public authorities, federal and regional bodies of nature protection and environmental management, industrial enterprises, research institutes engaged in environmental protection, design organizations and other environmental structures. Graduates may continue their scientific career or postgraduate studying at TSU or other universities.

Admission to the program is carried out on a competitive basis following the results of admission tests: an entrance examination and an interview.
