After graduation, students of the program – optoelectronic devices and systems will be able to conduct research, development and production of optoelectronic devices and systems that are needed for effective solution a wide range of both scientific and practical goals such as:

  • to convert infrared and ultraviolet radiation in the systems of technical vision (driving transport at night, in fog, smoke and dust landing aircraft at the low clouds and fog, steering marine vessels, and others);
  • to obtain information from the space about the atmosphere condition and the Earth surface, about condition of seas and oceans, rivers and lakes;
  • to process graphic information in the computer, communication systems and other equipment by using fiber optics.

Also this knowledge and skills may be used for medical diagnosis, therapy and surgery, for navigation of spaceship and vehicles and many other purposes. This educational program includes both theoretical (lectures) and practical aspects (workshops and practical trainings) aspects.
