  • 14.02.01 Hygiene

    Area of specialization: Hygiene.

    It studies the impact of environmental factors and occupational activities on human health, his/her performance, longevity, and develops standards, requirements and sanitary measures aimed at sanitation of populated areas, improvement of living conditions and human activities.


  • 14.02.02 Epidemiology

    Area of specialization: Epidemiology.

    It includes the studies of epidemiology of communicable and non-communicable diseases. Epidemiology topical area comprises such phenomena as disease incidence, its outcomes (disability, mortality, etc.), and other phenomena that have cause-and-effect relations with disease incidence and which define and characterize the health of the population.


  • 14.02.03 Public Health and Healthcare

    Area of specialization: Public health and healthcare.

    It includes the studies of patterns of public health, impacts of social conditions and environmental factors on population health in order to develop strategies and tactics of healthcare and improvement of medical care.


  • 14.02.05 Sociology of Medicine

    Area of specialization: Sociology of Medicine.

    It includes the studies (with the use of sociological approaches);

    • of the role and place of healthcare system in society and perceptions of different social classes about the influence of socioeconomic factors on public health and organization of health care in order to develop additional social and psychological measures for prevention, preservation and strengthening of health and working capacity, and life prolongation;
    • of functioning and development of social processes taking place in the healthcare system, its institutions and in medicine as a social institution.
