Functional Materials

The program is focused on R&D in materials science what applies to materials with special magnetic, electrical, and thermal properties. Master's students carry out their research at the departmental laboratories and in the scientific research laboratory of permanent magnets. These laboratories house a unique range of magnetometric equipment (hysteresis graph plotters for strong fields (up to 2.5 T), vibration magnetometers (up to 3 T), magnetic measurement sets MK-4E and MK-3E for monitoring magnetic parameters of soft magnetic materials. The departmental laboratory is equipped with measurement complex PPMS-9 + EverCool-II Cryogen-Free intended for studying the magnetic, thermal, and electrical properties of materials in the temperature range of 4 (liquid helium) - 700 К.
