| Is there a dormitory for international students at the university? |
NUST MISIS Commune House is a unique monument celebrating the Constructivism, fully remodeled yet preserved its historical appearance. It is recognized as one of the best student residence hall complexes in Russia.
In 2016, NUST MISIS finished the reconstruction of the Commune House. The latest environmentally friendly materials, modern energy saving technologies and original engineering solutions were applied during reconstruction. As a result, NUST MISIS Commune House has become more comfortable for students. The «Metallurgist» campus is also among Russia`s exemplary student residence hall complexes. There is all necessary infrastructure on its premises: dining room, shops, outdoor recreation areas and sports complex with pool, as well as laundry, pharmacy and dental office. |
| Is the dormitory far from academic buildings? | The Commune House is located in the heart of Moscow - 15 minutes walking distance from the academic buildings. The «Metallurgist» is located next to the metro station, and in just 20 minutes by metro to academic buildings. |
| How many people live in one room? | 2-4 people live in one room. There are campuses for post-graduate students, and for master`s degree students (2-3 students), campuses for bachelor`s and specialist`s degree students (3-4 students). |
| Where are the facilities situated (shower, WC)? | All facilities are in units. |
| Where is the kitchen situated? Is it equipped with home appliances and utensils | There is a kitchen on each floor; fridges are in rooms. |
| What does university provide for students when they move in? | The university provides students with bedclothes, mattress, all necessary furniture (bed, bedside table, desk, chair, wardrobe, shelf). |
| Is there Wi-Fi at the dormitory? | All campuses offer free long range WiFi. |
| Does the dorm building have additional facilities? | Laundries are located on the first floors of the campuses, they are free in «Metallurgist» campus but there is a fee (from 90 Rubles) per wash cycle in Commune House campus. Also, there is a dining room, gym, swimming pool in every campus. |
| What is the monthly fee for dormitory? | Cost of accommodation varies from 1100 to 1900 Rubles. |
