HSE’s admission rules have changed.

The Higher School of Economics has designed new admission rules to make application process more intelligible for international students. A new scheme is valid both for international applicants and the Russian compatriots living abroad.

According to the new rules, you need to pass two exams for Bachelor’s degree programmes (and complete a creative assignment for some of them). Applicants for Master’s programmes need to present their portfolios and pass an interview. More information about the portfolio and admission requirements is available on the university’s website.

The university provides a certain number of state-funded places, which is defined for each programme on a yearly basis. Registration for Preparatory Courses, Bachelor’s or Master’s programmes will open on November 1, 2016. International applicants should fill in an application form on the university’s website. You can submit documents for two programmes simultaneously.
