Prospective Students from 55 Countries Enrol at LETI

Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" admitted 661 foreigners in 2017.

The bulk (436) enrolled for bachelor’s degree, the rest will take specialist’s,  graduate and postgraduate programmes or Preparatory Department courses. A majority of prospective students came from former Soviet republics (Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Tajikistan) and China. Kazakhstan accounted for the largest share of the international students’ body; 245 Kazakh citizens qualified for government scholarships and another 13 signed study contract with the University.

Belarus contributed the second largest number of international students with 159 scholarship students and two contract students. Fourteen of 68 prospective Chinese students were eligible for government scholarships. LETI also has students from Asia (Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka), Europe (Germany, France, Italy, Lithuania), Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Egypt), Latin America (Argentina), the USA and Australia.
