International Students Dormitories

Is there a dormitory for international students at the university? UrFU campus is comprised of various types of dormitories, with both Russian and international students living in them.
Is the dormitory far from academic buildings? There will be no need for long commuting: the dormitories are as close as a 5 minutes’ walk to the university.
How many people live in one room? One dormitory room can accommodate two to three people. If you want to live together with students from your country, please inform the university administration. Your request will be met if possible.
Where are the facilities situated (shower, WC)? Each dormitory building has showers and toilets. Depending on the type of dormitory, bathrooms may be located either in sections or in corridors.
Where is the kitchen situated? Is it equipped with home appliances and utensils Dormitory kitchens are equipped with everything that is necessary for cooking – you are only going to need your own dishes and cutlery. Location of kitchens depends of the type of dormitory as well.
What does university provide for students when they move in? Upon check-in, you will receive your bed sheets, and in your room you will find all the necessary furniture: a bed, a desk, a chair, a cupboard and a bedside table.
Is there Wi-Fi at the dormitory? All dormitories on the campus provide free Wi-Fi for studying, which gives you access to the university website, student’s personal account, library, etc.). Wi-Fi for personal use will cost about 300 RUB a month.
Does the dorm building have additional facilities? UrFU dormitories have gyms, lounge halls, laundries with free access. There is also a student canteen.
What is the monthly fee for dormitory? Living in a dormitory is the most affordable accommodation option in Ekaterinburg: the price for staying in one of the UrFU dormitories is under 1100 RUB a month.
