South Ural State University (SUSU) is a leading Russian higher education centre. The university is located in Chelyabinsk, Russia’s seventh largest city. It provides training to more than 27,000 students on programmes of different levels (secondary professional education, bachelor’s/master’s and PhD degree), including 2,000 international students from the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin and North America.

The 1,150-strong faculty has 349 professors and 1,175 PhDs. Eleven SUSU Institutes and Higher Schools offer the most sought-after engineering, natural science and humanities majors. South Ural State University has turned out more than 250,000 skilled specialists since its establishment 75 years ago.

SUSU currently offers seven English-taught undergraduate and 12 graduate programmes.The university operates 27 laboratories and research centres. Thanks to access to unique technologies, students can successfully pursue research in various fields.
