337 Russian Universities in National Rankings

Year 2019 data has been published.

Interfax International Information Group has presented the national ranking of Russian higher education centres for the 11th time. The top three are Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.

The top 20 included Higher School of Economics, Novosibirsk State University, National Research Tomsk State University, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, Kazan Federal University, ITMO University, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Ural Federal University, Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University, Far Eastern Federal University and Siberian Federal University.

Experts use six parameters to assess domestic universities: education, brand, innovation, research, social environment and international cooperation. The assessment is based on information from open sources and the data provided by universities on request.

Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and National Research Nuclear University MEPhI appeared in other Russian rankings; for example, they led RUR Rankings by Subject for natural sciences and were among the top three in RAEX Agency Rankings. Also, MIPT placed third on the Forbes list of the most prestigious Russian universities.
