The university had a happy international friendship day.

Far Eastern Federal University International Student Unity Day brought together representatives of China, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, India, Iraq, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, El Salvador, Bolivia, Ecuador, Zambia, Nicaragua, Afghanistan, Armenia, Tajikistan and other countries. Students in national dress organized their countries’ stands in the university hall, using flags, photos and national everyday items for decorations. Guests at the joyful and vibrant event learnt many interesting facts about national traditions and sports, tried games and national entertainment and tasted national dishes. Japanese students led a kendo (fencing with bamboo swords) and calligraphy master class, Indian students showed henna body art and Azerbaijani students taught their friends to play backgammon. International students crafted many tasty dishes such as Armenian dolma (stuffed grape leaf), Tajik pilaw, Brazilian carrot pie, spicy Afghan-style mutton etc. The holiday ended with a song and dance show.
