The university launched a new English-medium masters programme.

Data Science is one of the most sought-after IT fields. A big data specialist is essential to any company. Russian universities keep pace with the times launching many new programmes to meet employers’ demands. Data Science is one of such programmes, available now at National University of Science and Technology MISIS. The course targets foreign nationals who have bachelor’s degree and want to gain competences in gathering, storing and processing large volumes of information and isolating useful data for practical application. Students will learn discrete mathematics, statistics, the basics of artificial intelligence and neural networks and other applied disciplines. Classes are conducted by leading MISIS, Higher School of Economics and Moscow State University teachers with extensive practical experience.

Length of study is two years. Tuition fee: 264,000 rubles ($4,060) a year; payment deadline is 30 September 2019. Masters students are entitled to a monthly grant of 17,000 rubles ($260) but a student forfeits it if they get mediocre semester exam grades. All foreign nationals are provided with places in the Commune House dormitory which is admittedly one of the best in Russia. To take part in competitive selection, candidates have to pass an Skype examination in informatics and computer science. Application deadline is 31 July, 2019. You can apply for free from our website. Create a personal account and write to the university designating the programme.
