More than 300 Foreign Nationals Admitted to Samara University

New entrants come from 29 countries.

Samara University intake 2018/2019 is closed. Overall 312 prospective students enrolled in programmes of various degree levels. Among the origin countries were Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, India, Yemen, Afghanistan, China, Indonesia, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Ecuador, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Iraq, Lebanon, Germany, Madagascar etc. Engineering programmes were most popular among foreigners. Undergraduate, specialist and graduate students selected aviation engineering, design of aircraft power plants, navigation systems, rocket complexes, transport system, IT, applied mathematics and mechanical engineering. International relations, law, economics and management were popular humanities programmes. Some foreigners chose biology and chemistry. PhD students tended to choose materials study, information technologies, mathematics and mechanics and aircraft and rocket engineering.

Samara University provides quality education in liberal arts and engineering; both Russian and English-medium programmes are available. Students study theory and train for research as they practice at laboratories, carry out experiments and learn to write scientific papers.
