New TSU English Medium Programme: Applications Open

The university will train international journalists.

In 2019, National Research Tomsk State University launched a new masters programme in International Journalism in the World of New Media. Students will study international relations theory, new media operation principles, methods to create quality content, media management, entrepreneurship, basic design and other disciplines. Optional courses include photo journalism, documentary journalism, web design etc. Masters thesis is a project or study in the field of new media journalism. Graduates can start a career as journalists, international media editors or new media project supervisors. Length of study: two years. Tuition fee: 273,000 rubles ($4,210) a year.

Self-funded students have to pass a Skype or QQ (for Chinese nationals) interview. English proficiency requirement: intermediate or higher (you do not need to show your language certificate). A portfolio contest is held for prospective scholarship students. Foreign nationals from visa travel countries can submit document till 10 July 2019, application deadline for residents of visa free countries is 14 August.
