IKBFU international students prepared a New Year show.

Representatives of forty-three countries from across the world gathered for the celebration. The 700-odd audience included Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University students and their peers from other Kaliningrad universities as well as teachers, schoolchildren and their parents. The event kicked off with a jazzy New Year fair and a quiz; later on international students invited everybody to join their Oriental and Latin Dance master classes.

Guests were offered to take pictures with Santa impersonated by a Preparatory Department student from Colombia. Students then presented a song and dance concert. The best performances were delivered by Indian students from IKBFU Institute of Medicine and a duet of a Brazilian student (flute) and an IKBFU Institute for the Humanities Department assistant professor (keyboard) who played “Once upon in December”, a song from the cartoon “Anastasia”. At the end of the show international students sang “Little Fir Tree is Cold in Winter” in Russian.

IKBFU currently has 590 international students from CIS countries, Baltic states, India, Poland, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Macedonia and other countries.
