Russian Universities Math Olympiad Invite

Russian-speaking schoolchildren in 9-11 grades are welcome.

Participation in an academic competition is a good opportunity to get Russian university admission preferences. You can try your hand in Joint Inter-University Mathematics Olympiad organised by Russia’s leading higher education institutions such as National University of Science and Technology MISiS, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, ITMO University, Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” and Far Eastern Federal University. The first, online round runs till 29 January 2018.

Participants are requested to register on the Olympiad website to get access to the tests. The highest scorers take part in the finals to be held in Moscow, St Petersburg, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladivostok, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and other Russian cities on 4 February. The onsite round begins at 10:00, Moscow time; participants have four hours to solve Olympiad problems. The winners seeking to enrol at Russian universities enjoy admission preferences. For example, Far Eastern Federal University offers admission to scholarship programme without entrance examinations or the top score (100 points) in mathematics.
