Russian Universities Representatives to Visit Astana, Almaty

Prospective Kazakh students will find out more about study in Russia.

Kazakhstan will host an international study abroad fair for prospective students on 29-30 September 2018. Universities from 35 countries will present their education programmes. Russia is represented by several higher education centres including Higher School of Economics St Petersburg and Siberian Federal University. University staff will provide information on application dates, examinations, Russian language courses and international students’ life in Russia. In Astana, the fair will take place on 29 September. Opening hours: 12:00 - 16:00. Venue: The Radisson, 4 Saryarka Avenue. Almaty will host the fair on 30 September. Opening hours: 12:00 - 16:00. Venue: The Ritz-Carlton Almaty, 77/7 Al-Farabi Avenue. Admission is free; visitors are requested to register for the event.

Russian universities have been popular with Kazakhstan residents. Statistics say that Kazakh nationals make up the bulk of the international students body at Russian universities; in 2017 they numbered over 64,000. They are attracted by a large variety of programmes and affordable fees.
