The fete gathered students from 17 countries.

Students from China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Congo, Syria, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Egypt and other states took on the role of cooks to showcase national cuisines. Clad in national costumes, they offered everybody to taste their national dishes they had crafted. Culinary masterpieces included Uzbek pilaw and flat bread, rice, fish and chicken cooked in Sri-Lankan style, Chinese fried noodles etc.

A jury assessed culinary works in the following categories: Cooking, Confectionery, Art Design, Art Model (fancy dresses made of round pretzels, marshmallow and cookies) and International Cooking Traditions. An award-giving ceremony wrapped up the festival.  Culinary fiestas which draw an increasing number of foreigners are a South Ural State University project launched 11 years ago. They help international students adapt to new environment, meet their peers from other countries and learn more about different cultures.
