Winners of the HSE Olympiad Will Get Benefits for a Master Programme

In March 2017 academic competition for perspective international students will take place.

International Olympiad Competitions for University Students and Graduates by HSE University will be held in English and in Russian for international students interested in studying in Master’s programmes at HSE University. HSE University will be giving away the right to study one in one of the 14 English-taught Master’s programmes: Mathematics, Economics, Linguistics, Political Analysis, Applied Social Psychology etc. 

A Russian government scholarship is available for most of the English-taught Master’s programmes. “This will provide an opportunity for prospective students to enroll a Master programme through Olympiad competition without having an interview,”– said the representative of the University. Besides, Olympiad participants will have an advantage during enrollment to HSE University.

International Olympiad Competition will be held in several countries: Georgia, Latvia, Mongolia, India, Indonesia and United States. Self-study materials for the International Olympiad Competitions are already available on the website of the University.

Another Olympiad Competition, called «Olympiad for University students and graduates, conducted by the HSE University», will be held in Russian for students from CIS countries. Call for applications is opened on the website of the HSE University. Olympiad will take place on March 18-19. The final stage of the competition will also take place in several countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and others. 

The range of Master programmes is wider for participants of this Olympiad: from Mathematics to Urban planning and from Design to Demography. Furthermore, the results of the Olympiad will be taken into account not only for the admission to Moscow campus, but for other HSE campuses too. Self-study materials to prepare for this Olympiad are also available on the university website.
