Big Ethnographic Dictation: Test Your Knowledge of Russia
The test will be held online on 2-4 November 2018.
If you are interested in Russian traditions, join the Big Ethnographic Dictation. Russian-speaking residents of any country are welcome. Dictation tasks will be available between 2 November and 4 November 2018 on the Big Ethnographic Dictation website (10:00 a.m. Moscow time). The participants are given 45 minutes to answer 30 questions about the culture of peoples living in Russia. The topics inlcude traditions, geography, national cuisine, folklore, crafts, architecture etc. The correct answers and review of errors will be published on 10 November; on 12 December you will be able to see your result and download your Big Ethnographic Dictation certificate. Russia will run the Big Ethnographic Dictation for the third time. Last year, more than 360,000 people took part in the test. The participants were Russian nationals as well as representatives of Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
