FEFU Opens Office in Vietnam
Russian education will be more accessible to prospective Vietnamese students.
On 10 December 2018, Far Eastern Federal University opened its office in Vietnam. It’s the first and so far the only Russian university representative in Vietnam. Based at Hanoi State University, one of the largest education centres in the country, it will hold a series of career guidance events for Vietnamese schoolchildren in February - June 2019 such as a university presentation, a professions fair and the Ocean of Knowledge Olympiad that awards incentives to the winners seeking admission to the Russian university. In 2019, the FEFU office will arrange Russian language courses with advanced study of the vocabulary used in popular fields. The FEFU office is located at 2, Pham Van Dong, Cau Giay, Hanoi. Vietnamese applicants show an interest in higher education in Russia. In the academic year 2016/2017, Russian universities provided full-time training to 5,000 Vietnamese nationals including 2,000 self-funded students.
