HSE St Petersburg Holds Cultures Day
More than 300 international students from 13 countries took part in the festival.
Higher School of Economics St Petersburg campus hosted the traditional Cultures Day bringing together students from Germany, Great Britain, the USA, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Israel, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan and other countries. They spoke about traditions and customs of their countries and learnt about the culture of other nations. Students performed national songs and joined the best dance and dish contests. The Israeli students’ dance was recognised as most beautiful. Students from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Israel won the tastiest dish contest. The programme included master classes in foreign languages and a capital cities quiz.
HSE main education centre is located in Moscow; the university has branches in St Petersburg, Perm and Nizhny Novgorod. HSE offers a wide range of programmes as well as the opportunity to study in English. The university is currently providing training to 1,700 international students from 50 countries including 500 in St Petersburg. They usually choose programmes in economics, management, political science, history, Asian studies and social science.
