The university has run seasonal short programmes.

In 2019, summer schools at Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" were attended by 86 students from 35 countries including Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Iraq, Cyprus, Netherlands, France, Czech Republic, South Korea, Indonesia, South Africa etc. Students completed nine programmes; seven were taught in English. The engineering courses included Mechatronics and Robotics, Industrial Software Engineering and Renewable Energy; among the humanities courses were Intercultural Communication in Business and Heritage Science. Two programs were devoted to the study of the Russian language and culture. Students from all summer schools connected with the Russian cultural heritage joining excursions to St. Petersburg and the Hermitage Museum and visiting the Tsarskoye Selo and Peterhof museum-reserves and the ancient city of Vyborg. In addition, international guests were introduced to the hundred-odd-year history of LETI and visited the laboratory of radio inventor A.S. Popov, located in the University’s museum section.

At the end of the training, LETI teachers presented certificates to the students and invited them to come and take degree programmes. The university offers more than 140 bachelor's, master's and specialist programs to international students. LETI also has foundation programmes in four fields. Find more information here.
