International schoolchildren will be able to solve complex problems and learn about the university’s education programmes.

International Olympiads are an excellent opportunity to get preferences when applying to Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, one of the most prestigious Russian higher education centres. MIPT summer Olympiad school is designed to prepare international schoolchildren for solving challenging problems at competitions. The school hosts the first shift from 14 July to 26 July and the second from 28 July to 9 August, 2019, in the town of Dolgoprudny, Moscow region. Participants can choose one of several modules. First shift students can choose Mathematics, Physics, Informatics, Chemistry, Data Analysis and Computer Vision; the subjects available to the second shift are Mathematics, Physics, Informatics, Computer Linguistics and Cybersecurity. The programme includes interesting lectures and seminars delivered by MIPT teachers, at which schoolchildren will practice complex problem solving skills. Creativity competitions, intellectual games, film screenings and sport events will be arranged. Classes are mostly conducted in Russian; the school targets schoolchildren from the Commonwealth of Independent States, but participants from other countries are welcome at the English medium school in Mathematics and Physics which will run from 28 July to 9 August.

The summer school also gives the opportunity to get to know MIPT teachers and learn about Russian- and English medium undergraduate and specialist programmes. Tuition fee: 41,900 rubles ($645); includes training, dormitory accommodation and meals. Candidates have to pass a test to be admitted to the summer school. The link to the test is accessible from 1 May to 21 May and from 1 June to 21 June. The subject of the test should correspond the chosen programme. Physics and math problems will be presented in Russian and English. Preliminary registration is required.
