Prospective students at a Dushanbe fair will learn how to get into a Russian university.

On 11-13 April, Tajikistan’s capital will host an education fair for high schoolers and holders of bachelor’s and master’s degrees who plan to study abroad. Russia will be represented by universities from different cities. Among them are Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (St Petersburg), National Research Tomsk State University (Tomsk), South Ural State University (Chelyabinsk), Kazan Federal University (Kazan) and other higher education centres. Applicants will have all information about Intake 2019, document requirements, application dates, entrance examinations and exam preparation. The presentation covers university departments and education programmes, the Preparatory Department, summer schools and tuition fees. Venue: Russo-Tajik Slavonic University, Mirzo Tursunzoda Street, 30. Time: 10:40 - 12:30 and 14:30 - 18:00 on 11 April; 9:00 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 18:00 on 12 April; 9:00 - 12:00 on 13 April.

Many Tajik Nationals choose Russia as a study abroad destination due to a large choice of universities and professions. They are also attracted by affordable education, accommodation and food costs. In the academic year 2016/2017, Russia was providing training to 12,000 Tajik students; a year later their number grew to 14,300. Medicine, information technologies and metallurgy are the most popular fields of study with Tajik nationals.
