Samara University Runs High Technology Management Summer School

International students focused on project management and high-tech product promotion.

Samara University’s high-tech management school held for the third consecutive summer brought together 130 students from Great Britain, Canada, Spain, India, China, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru and Brazil. The packed English programme lasted two weeks offering tutorials on marketing, project/risk management, intellectual property and electronic commerce theories and production management as well as an overview of Russian business specifics.

Students attended lectures on effective promotion of high-tech products and then put their knowledge to practical use as they split up to work on team projects. They also visited the Robert Bosch Samara company, talked with its leading specialists and learnt about production management methods. A tour of the university’s modern laboratories was arranged for the summer school participants to see the assembly of nanosatellites, biomedical instruments and pulsed magnetic units. All students liked the programme; some decided to enrol for Master’s degree at Samara University.
