UrFU Invites Foreign Nationals to Winter Schools

Ural Federal University will run two international winter schools in January-February 2019. The six-week school in mechanical engineering will be held for senior undergraduate or specialist students between 14 January and 22 February. For the first three weeks, all students will study the basics of mechanical engineering and develop prototypes using special software such as Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk 3ds Max etc at the initial stage and a 3D printer later. Next, the students will choose one of the three modules: mechanics, electrical engineering or robotics. Classes are conducted in English; a minimum proficiency level at B1 is required. Tuition fee: 1,700 U.S. dollars Students get 8 ECTS credits upon course completion.
The second winter school targets foreign nationals interested in the Russian language and culture and will take place between 21 January and 3 February. It welcomes senior students having any language proficiency level. Students will take a one-week intensive course focused on grammar, vocabulary, spoken Russian and pronunciation. Instruction is provided in English for the beginners with a minimum proficiency level at B1. During the second week, they will be able to further their knowledge in Russian or choose one of the additional modules: Business, Sport, or Game Studies. Tuition fee for the two-week course is 900 dollars. Students get 3 ECTS credits upon course completion.
