Students have medical internship in Russia and other countries

I speak fluent Russian, but I joined an English-speaking group at First Moscow State Medical University to practice spoken English and listening comprehension. My English isn’t bad, but as you know you lose language skills without practice. I recommend the students who come from non Russian-speaking countries to learn this language in advance, see films and TV series with subtitles which will help you a lot if you study here.

I decided in my childhood that I wanted to be a doctor. My mother is a doctor, too, but this is not the main reason behind my choosing this profession. I like helping people, I like the feeling that what I do is important. I came to Moscow, to MSMU by chance but I have no regrets at all; everything worked out just fine; it’s one of the best known medical universities in Russia.

The university has a branch in Baku but I advise everybody to come to Moscow to study. It provides excellent training; I have a few suggestions though. For example, students could have more practice and interaction with patients and carry out more medical examinations to improve their skills. By the way, we have internships not only in Russia but also at hospitals of other countries. I’ve already completed my General Surgery and Emergency Medical Aid internships.
