I like snow very much, for me it is a real miracle

I dreamed about going abroad for a long time. When I was thinking about the country, I read about the Russian culture and realized that I wanted to study there. Then I came to Tomsk because TSU is one of the best universities in the country. I really like it here, and I like walking on Novosobornaya Square. It gets really beautiful when it is snowing, it is a miracle for me. Before that, I had seen it only in pictures or TV programmes. It was in Russia where I saw it with my eyes. There is hardly anything in the world that I like more than snow.

I am an islander who had never left the Caribbean, and now I am playing in the snow the way I used to play in the sand. And I feel like it’s home with a little change in the temperature and weather. I have a lot of friends, both Russian and international students. It makes me feel not alone and able to enjoy all advantages of the campus life at this university. Besides, special departments and lecturers help me, so it would be more difficult without their support. I not only study for a degree in journalism, but also teach English at the English Speaking Cafe and at Paul Bakery Cafe. I try to be responsive and help others.
