The Institute of Biology and Biomedicine includes the Biological Faculty, Scientific Research Institute "Institute of Living Systems", Scientific Research Institute "Botanical Garden" and Scientific Research Institute "Molecular Biology and Regional Ecology". Such a system ensures rapid integration of students into scientific environment and their access to the cutting edge science. Students have the opportunity to undergo internship at scientific centers of the IBBM.
Another activity of the IBBM is the development and commercialization of biotechnology, in particular, biomedical and neuro technologies. Partnership with commercial companies and set up of own small innovative companies are in progress in order to stipulate this activity.
The ecosystem "education – science – bio industry", formed at the IBBM, allows our students to get the advanced level of knowledge and skills demanded by society that also provide for excellent employment opportunities.
Graduates of the programme can:
- be engaged in scientific research activity,
- work in environmental protection companies,
- work in pharmaceutical, biochemistry, biophysics and biotechnology companies,
- work in genetic engineering and diagnostic laboratories,
- be engaged in teaching.
