The program provides students with advanced knowledge and professional skills in protection and reproduction of forests, monitoring forests condition, inventory and cadaster in natural, technological and urban landscapes, forest management, sustainable use of forests to meet the needs of society in forests and forest resources, state forest inspection and supervision.

The program includes the following main subjects: mathematical modeling of forest ecosystems, philosophical problems of science and technology, information technologies, modern problems of science in the field of forestry, management of biological and technological systems in forestry, forestry economics, legal and social aspects of sustainable forest management, advanced technologies of planting material cultivation, urban forestry, sustainable forest management, cost management, genetic improvement of forest woody plants, and others.

Graduates may continue their scientific career or postgraduate studying at TSU or other universities.

Admission to the program is carried out on a competitive basis following the results of admission tests: an entrance examination and an interview.
