Upon completion of their Ph.D. program, graduates will be able to work in solving problems that require the use of basic and applied knowledge in the field of Earth Sciences.

The graduates will have an understanding of the Earth and its main geospheres - the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, their composition, structure, evolution, and properties; geophysical fields, the field of solid and liquid minerals; natural, natural-economic, man-made, industrial, recreational, social, territorial systems and structures at the global, national, regional, local levels, their research, monitoring and forecasts of development; searches, research and exploitation of mineral deposits; natural resources; geographic information systems; spatial planning, design, and forecasting; environmental impact assessment of all forms of economic activity; education of the population.
