The master's program is aimed at deepening theoretical knowledge in the field of Russian philology and practical skills of modeling modern methods of teaching Russian language and literature in contemporary school and university audiences.

The program is beneficial for those who plan to continue teaching or continue their studies at the doctoral level of pedagogical education. Master students get involved in pedagogical (teaching) and research activities in secondary and higher educational institutions, they implement research projects not only at the level of theoretical research, but also the evidence of their results in the process of conducting experimental work.


Information about study

1) First year disciplines:

- Relevant problems of Russian studies;

- Theory and methodology of teaching the Russian language in secondary and higher schools;

- Theory and methods of teaching literature in secondary and higher education;

- Modern technologies of teaching the Russian language in secondary and higher schools.

2) Second year disciplines:

- Debating problems of studying phonetics and lexicology at school;

- Debating problems of studying word formation and grammar at school;

- Development and use of innovative educational and methodological complexes for literature;

- Development and use of innovative educational and methodological complexes in the Russian language.

3) Methods that are widely used in the learning process: problem learning, project method, use of case problems, etc.

The disciplines are taught by practicing specialists; doctors of science; teachers with extensive knowledge of modern methods and technology of work at the university.

Students have the opportunity to undergo an internship in educational institutions of Kazan: gymnasiums, lyceums, schools.

4) In the second year, students work on their dissertation.

A graduate who has completed the Master's program is prepared to:

1) find innovative solutions for current problems of teaching Russian language and literature;
2) compete in the international labor market;
3) develop methodological and didactic materials for classes;
4) combine the acquired fundamental knowledge with modern pedagogical solutions.

-          teachers of the Russian language and literature at various levels of education both in Russia and in CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) states and others;

-          employees of editorial offices, publishing houses and other organizations related to the analysis and processing of international information;

- graduates can work in organizational and management structures, in scientific and educational and expert-analytical centers
