Communication Technologies and Communication Systems prepares experts in both research and development spheres that include devices, ways, methods etc. that help to create the conditions needed for distant information exchange, information processing and storage.

Master's programs

The following programs in Communication Technologies and Communication Systems (11.04.02) are available:

  • Object Quality Control (Department of Radio Engineering Systems);

  • Wireless Infocommunication networks (Department of Radio Electronic Facilities).

Key points

The program is focused on theory and technical details of using electromagnetic radiation and waves through modules like:

  • Basics of Radio engineering and Communication;

  • Technical Electrodynamics;

  • Antennae and Feeder Devices and Radiowave Dissemination;

  • Microprocessor Devices;

  • Basics of Infocommunication Network Design, etc.

The "Object Quality Control" program teaches methods of controlling systems/objects of different nature – technical, biological, ecological. Both special and basic courses help prepare specialists capable of working in most marketable technical and scientific spheres.

The "Wireless Infocommunication Networks” program provides students with the means to study telecommunication systems, designing radio electrical devices and computer networks, and modern methods for digital signal processing. The program also teaches space radio communication, cell service, microwave devices in telecommunication systems, radio monitoring technology and more.

The labs of the department are equipped with radio measuring microwave hardware, antennae and microwave set-ups and cell service systems.
