In order to improve the reliability of the results of research carried out by specialists of chemical and toxicological and forensic chemistry departments of bureaus of social and medical epertise to minimize risks and errors at the pre-analytical, analytical and postanalytical stages of the work the specialists must be able to analyze all the basic operations and processes performed in the course of examination of individuals, to understand how the department work is organized, to carry out the established sequence of procedures and fill accurately certificates of the results of a study, to be able to draw up standard operating procedures (documented set of instructions or step-by-step action that should be implemented to perform a study for a particular group of drugs and alcohol) and approve them with the head of an institution.
