The course of Russian language is focused on the training of the international students willing to continue their studies at ITMO University's Bachelor and Master programs, which are taught in Russian. In this program much attention is given to the Russian grammar, skills of reading, writing, listening, oral and written communication in Russian.

The main goals of Russian language courses are the following:
  • knowledge acquisition by the students, attending different programs, which are taught in Russian;
  • students adjustment to the Russian system of education and their integration into the Russian social-cultural environment;
  • the advancement of Russian language, Russian literature and culture as a part of world culture and the instrument of international communication.
