The academic program "Molecular Biotechnology" is focused on research and technological activities that are fundamental for the development of high-tech production and scientific-technological potential in biotechnology, system biology, cell technology, molecular biotechnology, biotechnology of aquatic biological resources. Students will be able to work as employees of medical and pharmaceutical companies, advanced research centers and leading domestic and foreign universities.
The purpose of the basic professional academic program in the field of education:
implementation of higher vocational education in Molecular Biotechnology in the professional academic program “Biotechnology” of March 19, 2001, which allows a graduate to work successfully in the field of biotechnology, possess universal and subject-specific competencies that contribute to its social mobility and sustainability in the labor market. The field of professional activity of graduates who master the undergraduate program "Molecular Biotechnology" includes:
− obtaining, research and use of enzymes, viruses, microorganisms, cell cultures of animals and plants, products of their biosynthesis and biotransformation;
− technologies for producing products using microbiological synthesis, biocatalysis, genetic engineering and nanobiotechnology;
− operation and quality management of biotechnological production in compliance with the requirements of national and international regulations;
− organizing and conducting quality control of raw materials, intermediate products and finished products.
