The Technosphere Safety program is focused on training highly qualified specialists in the field of environmental protection.
The student gets basic skills and abilities for mastering the future profession:
- Knowledge of laws, standards, and regulations related to the environment;
- Conducting environmental analysis;
- In-depth understanding of physical, chemical, and biological processes taking place in nature;
- Ability to model natural and artificial disasters on a computer;
- Ability to properly use environmental documentation;
- Development of measures preventing environmental pollution.
This program is a continuation of the bachelor's program in the field of Technosphere Safety and provides an opportunity to acquire practical skills and abilities following the current requirements of leading companies in the labor market.
International partnership
Bachelors, masters, and PhD students of this area undergo internships and participate in academic mobility programs implemented jointly with foreign partners.
The best students go on internships to universities in Spain and Finland, as well as have the opportunity to enter the double degree program at the University of Mikkeli (Finland) and University of Cadiz (Spain).
Also, undergraduate and graduate students of the department regularly make presentations at international conferences and forums such as the BRICS Youth Forum 2019 (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Global Engineering Education Conference 2020 (Porto, Portugal), ICEPP 2020 (Prague, Czech Republic) and others.
