The educational program "Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Methods and Program Complexes" is associated with the development of the fundamental foundations of the theory of mathematical modeling and numerical methods, the creation and maintenance of mathematical modeling software systems for solving scientific and technical, fundamental and applied problems.

The relevance of this postgraduate program is determined by the versatility of approaches and methods of mathematical modeling for solving a wide class of new scientific, technological, social and economic problems, the need to develop new effective computational methods of mathematical modeling and corresponding program complexes that meet the development of a modern computer base.

The area of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the postgraduate program includes the spheres of science, technology and pedagogy, covering the totality of tasks of informatics and computing technology, including the development of theory, creation, implementation and operation of promising computer systems, networks and complexes, mathematical and software.

Postgraduate students study the following disciplines taught by leading scientists of FEFU:

• Probabilistic and mathematical models;

• Basics of scientific research;

• Mathematical modeling, numerical methods and program complexes;

• Modern numerical methods;

• Methods for creating distributed and parallel software modeling systems;

• Methods for creating software modeling systems.
