The purpose of the educational program is to acquire the level of competencies necessary for the implementation of professional activities and preparation for the defense of a scientific qualification work (dissertation) for the degree of candidate of sciences, preparation of a graduate student for the independent implementation of research activities in the field of theoretical physics.
Tasks.
1. To develop the ability to critically analyze and evaluate modern scientific achievements, to generate new ideas in solving research and practical problems.
2. To train graduate students in the methods of research activities, the peculiarities of presenting the results of scientific activities in oral and written form.
3. To teach graduate students to choose and apply mathematical methods and methods of computer modeling necessary to describe physical processes.
The area of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the postgraduate program includes solving problems requiring the application of fundamental knowledge in the field of physics and astronomy, the field of theoretical physics, the physics of magnetic phenomena and the physics of phase transitions.
The objects of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the postgraduate program are: physical systems of various scales and levels of organization, their functioning processes, physical, engineering-physical, biophysical, physicochemical, physical-medical and environmental technologies, physical examination and monitoring. The objects of professional activity of graduates who have mastered the postgraduate program "Laser Physics" are: optical quantum generators, coherent optical devices, optical waveguides, interferometers, space-time light modulators, linear and nonlinear optical media
A graduate student must be widely erudite, have fundamental scientific training, possess modern information technologies, including methods of obtaining, processing and storing scientific information, be able to independently form scientific topics, organize and conduct research activities on the general laws of generation, conversion and distribution of laser radiation , including the processes of propagation of laser radiation in material media and dielectric waveguides, physical phenomena in coherent optical devices and optical quantum generators, principles and means of optical information transmission and physical foundations of optical information-measuring systems.
The objects of study are optical quantum generators, coherent optical devices, optical waveguides, interferometers, space-time light modulators, linear and nonlinear optical media.
Research areas:
- study of the physical processes of generation, conversion and propagation of laser radiation;
- identification of the features of the propagation of coherent radiation in various material media, including in dielectric waveguides;
- mathematical, imitation and computer modeling of physical processes data;
- study of physical phenomena in coherent optical devices and optical quantum generators;
- development of principles and means of optical transmission of information;
- study of the physical foundations and development of the element base of optical and fiber-optic information-measuring systems.
To form such competencies, the program includes the following disciplines: Laser physics, Laser technologies, Nonlinear laser optics, Optoelectronics, Laser spectroscopy.
- The peculiarity of the proposed program is that maximum attention is paid to the theoretical study of precisely these problems. Graduates of postgraduate studies will be in demand in research institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences and universities of the country, such as the Institute of Oceanology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Chemistry of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Automation and Control Processes of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Marine State University named after G.I. Nevelskoy, Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service, Far Eastern Technical Fisheries University, Pacific State University of Khabarovsk.
