Programme Director: Bogachev N. V. (Raigorodsky Andrey)
Chair: Chair of Discrete Mathematics
Description:
The programme focuses on modern aspects of combinatorics (discrete mathematics) and its applications in computer science and in complex network theory. Students learn advanced modern methods used in discrete mathematics, promote intuition for working with discrete objects and models, and conduct research on various topics in discrete mathematics - pure or applied. In addition, one of the aims of the specialisation is to familiarise students with the state of the art in machine learning and artificial intelligence. This provides a comprehensive hands-on experience and builds a solid theoretical foundation. Together, these skills and knowledge become very valuable in the rapidly developing field of artificial intelligence
