Programme Focus:

The Master programme is aimed at training highly qualified specialists in "Jurisprudence", "Forensic examination" and graduates of related to Forensic examination BA and Specialist programmes. It results in awarding a degree of ‘Master’ in "Jurisprudence". Master programme graduates may apply for positions in forensic institutions or law enforcement agencies.  The programme also focuses on training academic staff in the area, through preparation for further PhD research work of relevant profile.

The main area of Master's professional activity is: serving in   federal executive bodies of the Russian Federation, including law enforcement agencies, and in other organizations involved in forensic activities, as well as in development of scientific and methodological support in the field of forensics.

Programme advantages: 

The core of the programme is formed by tutorials which are aimed at a more detailed and deep study of some practical areas of legal regulation of forensic activities. The proposed range of subjects is grounded by the main fields of forensic activities in law enforcement in today's Russia.

The programme includes some theoretical subjects as well. They serve several tasks: form the necessary basis for the acquisition of the practical disciplines by the student, develop analytical skills necessary for a modern lawyer education and broaden the spectrum of legal outlook that enables the graduate to feel more confident in any area of legal work, to develop the skills of independent legal thinking and professional progress in the future.

All the subjects are focused on the study of Russian law and law enforcement activities. Some of the legal institutions are studied in comparative perspective for more effective learning and obtaining the skills of working with foreign partners.

Graduates’ expertise and career opportunities: 

The ‘Forensic activities in law enforcement’ programme provides development of primarily practical skills of law enforcement and law-making in the area of forensic activities. A lot of theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and competencies are common for forensic and  research activities in the field of procedural and non-procedural forms of the use of special knowledge, teaching, and professional advocacy.
