The University of Tyumen is proud to host a unique opportunity for international students interested in learning about the social dimension of the oil and gas industry in Russia in July 28 – August 31.

 The English-taught Summer School STEP in Russian Energy (Society, Technology, Environment, Policy), open to students from all backgrounds, provides students with a diverse look at the complexities of the oil and gas industry from within the heart of the biggest Russia’s oil-producing region. It can be of interest for those majoring in public policy, business, international relations, Eastern European, Russian, and Slavic Studies.

 The programme's theoretical coursework addresses subjects of international cooperation within the energy sector, the economic history of Russia’s Tyumen region, business and management, and cross-cultural communication. Students will also undertake substantial instruction in the Russian language, an estimated 50% of coursework, to maximize their learning experience while in Russia.

 Teaching Team of the Summer School includes the UT professors and representatives of local business, government, ans NGOs.  Outside of class, the University of Tyumen organizes an all-encompassing cultural programme, including Russian traditional celebrations, festivals, sporting events, as well as regional travel opportunities.
Likewise, the University puts on workshops with industry experts and coordinates an internship programme.
