The postgraduate program focuses on scientific research in the theory of machines and mechanisms, dynamics and strength of machines, creation of advanced competitive resource-saving equipment, high-tech treatment complexes and equipment modules for steels, alloys, and composite materials; computer-aided design, modeling, creation, and optimization of prospective designs of special mills and development of new types of products in the machine-building, metallurgical, nuclear and defense industries. For R&D purposes students use the equipment at the Metal Forming Department (MFD), MFC Scientific and Production Training Centre, laboratories, and leading enterprises of scientific and industrial companies in machine-building, metallurgical, nuclear and defense sectors.
