Programme Focus 

The programme is focused on providing a fundamental training in mathematics, science and special disciplines. The students are taught to apply information technologies for solving different tasks using system analyses and also to develop projects of automation and information of applied processes, to carry out the work on creation, modification, implementation and maintenance of information systems and task management. Graduate departments collaborate with major academic institutions such as the Federal Research Centre "Information and Management" Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute for Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Programme advantages

Students mastering the programme get ready to solve the following professional tasks:  installing the information systems software  and downloading databases;  setting the information systems parameters and testing the setup results;  keeping technical documentation;  testing  information systems components according to the pre-set script.

The basic graduate departments are: Department of Information Technology and the Department of Applied Informatics and Theory of Probability. The departments are equipped with modern laboratory and technical facilities

The received knowledge and practical skills allow the graduates to work as analyst-programmers, researchers, developers of mathematical models of processes, and others. Graduates are in high demand in Russia and abroad, working for companies such as Oracle, Microsoft, major Russian banks, communication companies (JSC "Rostelecom", "VimpelCom", "MTS", "Megaphone"), Nokia, Ernst & Young.
