353 Russian Universities in Webometrics Rankings

These universities show the largest web presence.

Spain’s Cybermetrics Lab surveys come out twice a year. The latest highlights 12,000 higher education centres including 353 from Russia. Among the top 1000 are Lomonosov Moscow State University, Saint Petersburg State University, Higher School of Economics, Novosibirsk State University, National Research Tomsk State University, ITMO University, St Petersburg Polytechnic University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Kazan Federal University and National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University.

Prior to releasing the results, experts assess some 30,000 universities across several indicators such as the number of webpages, the number of documents in rich files formats, the number of papers in the citation database Google Scholar and the number of site link citations.
