Russian education authorities postponed university admissions this year.

International students can apply to Russian higher education centres on equal terms with Russian school leavers, i.e. they can take the Unified State Examination (EGE). This is important to fluent Russian speakers and Russian medium school leavers who prepared for tests. The EGE date was changed this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The first examinations (geography, computer science and literature) will be held on 29 June. Russia’s education watchdog Rosobrnadzor published the nationwide examination schedule for all subjects on its website. For example, Russian Language, the most popular exam, will be held on 2 and 3 July with all due precautions such as disinfection, hand sanitisers, temperature measurement, social distancing etc.

The day on which EGE results are announced opens applications to universities. Prospective students have nine days to apply for full-time undergraduate or specialist programmes. Documents can be submitted online.

We recommend the prospective international students who plan to take EGE or university examinations not to waste time and contact the Admissions Board of the chosen university for admission and document requirements details. Your can do it from our website: create a personal account and send your application to the university.
